Impoverished £50k bingo winner wants benefits back!

Bingo winner a big loser

Bingo winner a big loser

Bingo players would mostly be overjoyed if they won a big £50,000 bingo jackpot and would appreciate the long term benefits possible of using such a win wisely.  Most bingo players would opt for exchanging a car or having a special holiday or would enjoy being able to buy some of the things that they have always desired without worrying about cash. Most bingo players would not end up in a worse situation than before their big bingo win in little under a year, with the threat of eviction and unpaid bills and no food to feed their children.  Cheryl McCann is clearly not like most other bingo players then, as that is precisely what has happened to her, rather than taking full advantage of her new found wealth she has allowed it to dig her into an even deeper hole than she was in prior to her win and is now almost destitute.

An article published on the Sun Bingo newspaper site states that the 33 year old bingo winner from Leeds is now in such a bad situation that she often doesn’t send her three children to school because she has no lunch for them.  The reason for this terrible set of events is apparently not down to her squandering her bingo winnings on frivolities but is because the benefits agency will not reinstate her benefits now that she has spent all her bingo winnings! Yes, you read that right, the lady concerned has spent all the bingo money that she won and now wants her benefits back so that she can continue in her life of expecting the tax payer to support her family.

This is a tale of our times, where a fantastic event which most people would appreciate and use to their advantage has actually done nothing for the bingo winner concerned in fact if anything the bingo playing lady almost bemoans her win.  Bingo players up and down the country will be wringing their hands in despair thinking of all the great things they could do with such a big bingo win – and most people trapped on benefits would be grateful for such a big win and use their new found luck to change their life around. Poor Cheryl, we hope that she finds the happiness that she desires soon, after all if you can’t find it in a £50,000 bingo win where can you find it?
